Video: H.E. President of French Republic arrives to Kuwait on Official Visit
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 19: French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Kuwait on Monday morning for an official visit, accompanied by an official delegation, and was received at the Amiri Airport by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
The reception was attended by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah; Chief of the National Guard Sheikh Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah; Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah; Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah; and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, along with senior state officials.
An official welcoming ceremony was held at the Amiri Airport, during which the national anthems of Kuwait and France were played.
President Macron subsequently exchanged handshakes with senior Kuwaiti government officials, while His Highness the Amir greeted members of the French president’s accompanying delegation.
The French delegation includes Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs Catherine Vautrin; Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot; Minister Delegate Alice Rufo; Minister Delegate for Industry Sébastien Martin, under the Ministry of the Economy, Finance, Industrial, Energy and Digital Affairs; and other senior French officials.
